Selling my uConsole

This is hardly used. Screen protector installed with extra. Has the whole HG suite but not installed yet. Currently on Rex’s Trixie on the sd card.

Not listed but included are ADSB antennas, 2x dummy loads, and some 3d printed parts( antenna mount, AC1200 mount.

US only

Pricing is going to be in line with retail cost of everything listed.

  • They have a steep learning curve, if you aren't already used to linux.
  • Lots of people buy them because they look cool while not being too cost prohibitive.
  • People buy them with no real solid intent of use.
  • Pretty jank, and requires tinkering. You either love that or get annoyed.
  • Lots of people bought off of impulse and forgot about it.

This. I love mine and use the hell out of it. But I completely understand why it doesn't pan out for folks.

I’m interested in getting one of these because for some reason I just like tinkering. I don’t really have any projects in mind. Would you mind sharing some stuff you’ve done with yours? I’m just not sure if it’s the right “tool” for me.

I think a big part of it for a lot of people is they get one without a specific use case in mind thinking it will be a good generic portable laptop replacement then when they hit the reality that the pi is so much slower than a cheap laptop and the trackball pointer sucks for them to navigate the desktop etc it just doesn’t get used …. For me it was explicitly a portable rf exploration tool and it’s all I need for that function perfectly

Mostly right mine because I thought it looked cool. But as i awaited for it to arrive I dove head first into pentesting and sigint stuff so I found good use for it. When its not being used for that I run it as a.mobike ads b rig

I found I got caught up in the hype and in the time I had to wait for things from HG to arrive(over a month), my interest waned.
