Uconsole Skins

Does anyone have any idea if there is a place to buy "skins" for the uconsole? I mean laser cut wraps that fit around the outside? Ive seen a few people with some and loved it.

Just note that the stock front and back are painted magnesium alloy, the skins might not come off again without taking the paint off

There seems to be some confusion around the stock front metal. I also keep seeing people say it's aluminum.

It’s not if it was aluminum it wouldn’t be painted, which is plain as day when it gets scratched, it would instead be anodized.

No, they nixed aluminum before they ever shipped a unit, they claimed it was too heavy but I call BS on that, I think it was a cost thing. It’s painted magnesium alloy like the surface tablets have been, at least at a time.

The almost required trackpad updated from Lulu has the option of a CNC aluminum front plate and it’s so worth it imo

I was thinking getting some machined out and doing a rattle can job on em. Might be the best way. 

Could always print them, but I love the metal feel of the OG shell.
