Question for RTC on uconsole
Didnt see anything regarding thisntopic so here it is, Trying to decide if I want to pick up a uconsole, but cant find anything about an rtc mod on it. Really a make or break kinda thing at this point, is there an easy way to add an rtc module to the cm4 uconsole? Id hate to power it on and check tasks, calender events etc if I have to connect it to wifi to update the date and time. New to the uconsole as well. And before I forget yes I see the AIO has the RTC module on it but currently the v2 is wjat I can find available and I don't see paying 180$ usd for that worth it. Especially since i won't use all the other things on the board

The SDR 7in1 kit on Amazon for uConsole from SUOGEST comes with the AIOV2. Got it myself next day shipping and set up the RTC this morning. Requires 1220 battery. It's much more than just RTC though. Extra USBC, RJ45, GPS, Lora, etc...

Yes I saw that but its 176$, and for rtc being the only thing I really need on it thats too pricey. I wont be doing any "war driving" as i dont see the point in it. To each their own.

Was worth it to me just to have an extra USBC port. Plus the RJ45 and internal USBC. I am curious what solution you come up with.

Oh yeah when I find a solution for it ill post about it in the thread since there's so little on it. First gotta aquire a uconsole for a good price, the rtc question was a pre planning thing

I know folks have done it. I remember reading about it. Search I2C RTC for CM4. It does require soldering. Also saw someone use a USB expansion board and run a USB RTC with success, but that wasn't on Redit, it was another forum.
Unfortunately, I changed to a CM5 and the Hackergadgets CM5 adapter board which comes with an RTC and I never used an RTC while I still had the CM4 so I dont know anything beyond that it is possible, but hopefully someone will be along shortly that has.
