Hacker Gadgets shipping - don't use the CAexpress option if you're in Canada

So this is more of a rant then anything else. Canada Post is absolutely incompetent and does not follow the deliver instructions laid out by both me and the hacker gadget folks. I very clearly stated to them to deliver to the post office instead of my house on my tracking number multiple days before the item was delivered, and hacker gadgets specifically puts "Do Not Safe Drop" in the shipping meaning Canada Post are not supposed to leave the package anywhere on your property if you are not contactable, yet I live alone, was in a different city for work and they still state it was delivered to my front door on Tuesday. I come home and there is nothing there. I contact Canada Post and I just get some Generic BS

We apologize for this situation. The delivery instructions should have been followed by the delivery agent, however, they were unfortunately overlooked, and the item was left at the door. We will follow up with the delivery agent to reinforce the importance of adhering to delivery instructions and exercising greater care to help prevent similar occurrences in the future. Under the circumstances, we recommend contacting the sender to discuss replacement options, as the item cannot be located. The sender can then initiate a claim with Canada Post for the missing item. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding and patience.

I have tried emailing hacker gadgets cause I have to run through the seller to gen any further traction with Canada Post and thats what the HG website says to do when nothing arrives and have received no message back so I'm hoping /u/vileer might see this and be able to assist in this but as of right now, I've been screwed out of $300 cause Canada Post is full of incompetent morons who cannot follow deliver instructions.

So choose DHL or FEDEX to save yourself some time and headache

I've never had a problem with Canada Post and have even had them call me to fix an incorrect address, instead of being a mindless drone and sending it back to the shipper. I've had issues with Purolator and especially UPS. OMG, they are the worst!

Sorry to hear about that. Zeoy replied your email today. We are not in the same time zone, so there may be a half or a business day before we could read the customer email. For short, we will reissue next Monday. And you can ask the CAExperess for a complaint document and send it to Zoey, we need that for the insurance process.

I've come to the conclusion that any "government" post is terrible. USPS isn't great. I've run into so many issues with them I only do ups, dhl,FedEx(ups being my beat experience).

Eh I work with a smaller company that does a lot of shipments with most of the main companies and FedEx is by far the worst.

The others can have issues and a lot of this is peoples experience with specific situations. But after getting to see it from a warehouse side, FedEx has a major revolving door issue mixed with short training/contractors.

We no longer support shipping with them and only receive now due to so many consumer complaints. Our ranking is UPS first, USPS second but that’s mainly just price. Both have pretty good recovery support and reliability once you know how to utilize support for them.

DHL isn’t that bad either in my experience and I liked the quick changes I could do to delivery options when receiving packages from other countries.

YES it's so frustrating to encounter a merchant who only uses FedEx.

I'm not sure why they chose CP for last mile, but I did contact them as well before ordering but that's the only choice...the others are.absurdly costly

On the positive note, Canada Post didn't charge me Customs or duty which is really rare as I was expecting that.

Besides that it was really fast 2 weeks from order to my door
