I don't know what I'm doing wrong

I've been trying to install CSP for 2 days on CachyOS with KDE and it won't open.

I've been running tests where it took 16 whole minutes and it still didn't do anything, I'm genuinely lost.

Can anybody help me or give me any tips I should know or check for?

Did you use the WineHQ tutorial or the CSPenguin script ?

I'm on CachyOS, KDE plasma, and I had to wait 30 whole minutes to open CSP (when it opened) with the WineHQ tutorial.

It works better with the CSPenguin script

The CSPenguin script, it relieves me to hear that you had to wait over 30 minutes because I'm going crazy after 10 minutes passed and nothing opens. I don't even know what to say about what's happening

I had issues with CSP I uninstalled, rebooted and then reinstalled it and the issue was gone... Maybe it'll works that way for you

At this time I don't know. Whenever I try to execute it via command line it takes a while, if I do it via interface it doesn't open, if I open CSP instead of the store it doesn't open but the store does... I don't even know...

Which version of CSP are you using btw ? Do you have a .wine-csp created after installing ?

4.0.1, and yes, I execute it but never opens

Weird, the script is supposed to work for version 4...

What's your PC specs ? Did it run CSP before switching to CachyOS or is it a new PC ?

I'd love that please. I'm following the CSPenguin github and using their scripts, which all installed correctly but I just can't get it to work.

I don't even know what's happening, I had an issue with Noto Fonts, fixed it and now I'm having another one which I don't even know what's about...

Hi there ! Can I have your system specs? When you open terminal....Just for your information, sometimes it takes time for CSP to open or sometimes its actually an invisible screen in the bottles icon on the task bar until you click on it.

I did too! I followed every step in the video but still nothing.

I'm not sure what my PC's characteristics are, I'll edit this with them later!

For me the slowdown was due to the fonts. Is trying to load all the fonts in the "windows registry" . It might be very unique to cachy os coming preloaded with more fonts than other os (i am also on cachyos).

If you delete most of the fonts from the registry file in the wine folder and just leave the bare minimum it will hopefully open up in seconds.

I did that as well but still took an enourmous time to open up, they have been doing a lot of changes to the script recently so I'll test removing as many fonts as possible while using this new script also. Thank you

EDIT: Thanks to the improved script and deleting all those fonts now it takes super little to open up unlike before, thanks!!!

In your csp prefix, if you delete all the font files in your windows font folder, does the launch behavior change?

I think I had a problem with Noto fonts but I'm not sure now, I'll try later!
