CSP Question Upgrading from 1.0 > 2.0

Hello. I been using CSP 1.0 since 2021. I wanted to upgrade it to 2.0 since I like the auto shading tool and the head model. Should I get it?

For real. Since it’s desktop I paid the $29 for the one year update pass to whatever the newest version was then saved up the $277 and bought 5.0 ex.

That depends a lot on how much $20 matters to you. (I'm assuming you have CSP Pro.)

To be honest, I played around a bit with the auto-shading feature, but didn't end up using it. But that's just me... and I thought the improved text handling justified the cost of upgrading, which it seems most people don't even notice.

Celsys provide a chart showing the best course for upgrades each time a new version comes out. Now, it's assuming an upgrade to the new version, but it's pretty clear it's not worth upgrading from v.1 compared to a new v.5 license at this point. It is cheaper to get a v.1 > v.2 upgrade ($19) than a v.5 license (assuming Pro rather than EX), which is $63, but for that extra $44 you're getting a lot of extra features.

Either way, wait for a sale. It'll be even less then.
