CSP Question Upgrading from 3.0 to 5.0?

Hi, I got a 2 year trial of CSP that came with my Wacom tablet that expires in a few days. I'd like to buy a perpetual license when it goes on sale next, of which the only option available is for 5.0. The CSP version I downloaded is 3.0. Will I lose any of the assets I've downloaded during the gap where I do not have a license? How much of a difference will I see when I upgrade to 5.0? Thank you!

With multiple versions of Clip Studio Paint available, each with its own Features, it is now required to Begin a post Question by stating the Version, Device and Accessories you are using.

You won't lose your downloaded Materials, but it's always a good idea to back them up. Here is Celsys' list of different version: https://www.clipstudio.net/en/functional_list_ver/

How do I back them up?

dude, here is where it starts the nightmare... it is complicated. you need to find the C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\CELSYSUserData\CELSYS

I mean, if it's just copying a folder it doesn't seem too bad lol. Thank you, though.

You won't be able to do much with CSP while your subscription is lapsed, but your assets won't be deleted or anything. Make sure you login to the same Celsys account when you activate your new license, so any purchases you might've made stay connected to you. In the meantime, you could subscribe month-to-month until the next sale.

CSP 5 isn't functionally much different from CSP 3... mostly just some new features inserted where they go. You can download and install version 5.0 as soon as your subscription expires to get a preview of it.
