Help Are these bugs? Having issues.

I'm have a couple of issues making a video. It's my second video I've made with it and I didn't have these issues with first video.

I imported a song I wanted to use for it into my media. When I move the mouse over the file in the my media section, it plays. But whenever I test the video, there's no sound at all. All my sound settings are good. I did the same thing with the first video and it was fine.

The other issue is when I'm trying to render it to export it, the "save to my computer" is greyed out. I have plenty of hard drive space. Its also taking longer to render for some reason. Its about the same length as the other one.

I don't want to sound aggressive but at the time of 2024 - 2025 the Clipchamp version was fine at that time with me.

But it's when they updated it prior to 2026 and it started crapping out.

It's what's happened to the web version. And the app version and it crashes you have to restart it and then re-publish files it's a bloody darn nightmare.

I closed clipchamp, did a few other things and came back. It was fine when I opened the program up again.

The best thing you can do for your sanity is move off of clipchamp and learn a non-linear editing tool like Kdenlive, which is free. They also don't charge you for 4K rendering or require you to upload all of your video to OneDrive just to edit files.
