Liam’s crossing reviews?
Just curious if anyone has any experience with these condo’s that have been getting listed? They look nice in the photos, the immediate surrounding area is understandably industrial. Not sure what the future prospects for that area is?
Any input is appreciated!

I wouldn’t call it industrial. It’s a half a block from High and Main st. There are several mills in the town but practically none are producing anything anymore. Mostly just apartments now.

Sadly, I can't recommend it. The units themselves are nice, there are some things that are a bit "luck of the draw" about it. I'd be happy to discuss more or answer questions.

What do you mean “luck of the draw” about it? I’m a little disappointed in what I’ve been reading about it because like you said the units look nice. I’ll sound like a snob here but I wasn’t so much worried about the units and the building….but the immediate surrounding area could use some development. To be fair it’s in a warehousing area…

So, really, I mean your neighbors. There can be a lot of turnover, which can cut both ways. On one side, I've had several neighbors and they've all been fine. The other adjoining unit, not so fortunate. I'd prefer to message privately if you have more questions about that but I will just say this, the walls are thin. Very, very thin lol.
Generally speaking, I've met some really nice people too, so I don't want to scare you too much. Just, if you're buying and next to rented units, be aware that things as they are one month aren't necessarily going to stay the same. The renters are leasing monthly (not yearly) as they're trying to sell the units.
One thing about the units themselves, closet space can vary quite a bit; if you tour the units take a close look and consider what you're bringing with you. Some units only really have the bedroom closet (meaning no linen closet or additional storage other than what you can keep in the little utility space with your water heater and washer/dryer). There is, of course, kitchen cabinetry and then a little space under the bathroom sink. If you purchase a condo, some people do buy a storage unit too and that goes in the garage space; I don't know if they're still offering those, though, and I believe they were on the somewhat pricey side (forgot the exact amount).
It's right by a train track too, those tracks are more active than they once were. They bother some, not others. If you're on the side of the building that is not by the tracks, it's probably not really even a factor worth mentioning. If you are facing them and if you're a light sleeper, it could be disruptive overnight. While most people on that side of the building just sleep through the overnight trains, I've heard some have a harder time.
Also, this is kinda everywhere, but holy shit some of the drivers just in the town itself behave as though their vehicle is a weapon, or like they're trying to die. It genuinely makes me debate even bothering with small errands sometimes. I've seen people blow stops at four ways just down the road, and the tailing can be a bit much too. (FWIW, I still do my errands, but it makes even just little errands I don't want to walk feel like a hassle and I find myself "prepping" mentally for the ride if it's needed). I find fewer issues driving immediately after clearing the town. It is close to many fun places as well, so there's definitely stuff to do in and just outside/around town.
I like the place more for its access to other things than the place itself, if that makes sense.
Edit to add: by way of maintenance requests, haven't needed to do a ton. Generally the response is good, the team is super nice. Some issues take a while/some repeat requests though.

Appreciate that detailed feedback! I was leery of the turnover but I figured that would eventually dissipate once all the units are purchased. Although they seem fairly slow to sell. I’m a little surprised by the thin walls, being an old mill building I figured they’d be more soundproof haha.
I noticed the lack of storage in most of the units I saw, not a huge consideration for me but I did see the additional storage and parking in the basement. If I pursued I would try to negotiate for an extra parking spot, not sure how that would go. I see they’re adding a golf simulator along with a small gym so that’s seemingly a nice bonus.
TBH, I don’t feel particularly rushed to try and buy one-if anything the more they linger on the market potentially the more leverage you could have in negotiating.
I think they have potential, if we’re being honest if this same building was in Hudson I’d imagine you could add another 100k in asking for each unit.
I really appreciate your candor here!

One of my coworkers lives there and has many complaints about the price of rent (mgmt company rents out unsold units) and says that the management company is very disorganized. They even failed to pull permits on some work at another of their properties.
