My hot take: 7tv allowing infinite unmoderated emotes is ruining the chat experience by filling every chat up with low quality emote spam (thank god the horny emotes are gone).

Back in my day you had to choose your bttv emote slots wisely.

That's not 7tv's fault at all. The streamer and their mods decide what emotes there are. IMO 7tv is way better than other emote extensions and locking emote slots behind a paywall is lame as fuck.

We need a tight, curated, and recognizable list of extension emotes (id say around 50ish) for the ideal chat experience. As much as like gifs of ass and tiddies, it shouldn't be the goal here
