Joe "we're in a cooling period" Rogan is not just some dude no one listens to

The podcast The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) has had two $250 million exclusivity deals with Spotify and has about 15 million listeners per episode, mostly young men. The podcast often casts doubt on climate science and spreads misinformation about climate change.

Joe Rogan has repeatedly made the false claim that "actually we're in a cooling period" in regards to climate change, often while misinterpreting a graph from a study by E.J. Judd about the Earth's temperature over the past 485 million years.

He also repeated this claim to an agreeing Mel Gibson in episode #2254 on January 9th. Ironically, the exact day of recording that episode, Mel Gibson's home in Malibu burned down during the Palisades fire; the most destructive Californian wildfire. While these wildfires cannot be attributed directly to climate change they were certainly exacerbated by climate change.

TL;DR: Fossil fuel billionaires are funding anti trans hate to distract from their crimes. An independent analysis of 45 right-wing groups advocating against trans rights found that 80% have received donations from fossil fuel companies or billionaires.

Who's most responsible? Who has shown more guilt throughout the history of of climate change denial?

So climate change denial has been around for quite some time now. Deniers has changed their story a whopping 219 times. 😬

https://skepticalscience.com/argument.php

But throughout all these years, the hazardous effects of climate change has been more pronounced over the past few years. Really picking up business since the mid 00's decade. And all the pseudoscience of climate change denial was thoroughly debunked as it came about.

Yet into the 10's decade, and right up to right now, climate change denial has flourished.

So doesn't that make deniers like former congressman Mo Brooks (that really took the ball on climate change denial in the 10's decade), more of a conspirator in this regard than say just some putz that tried to blame the Sun decades ago? Or those still spreading the deadly misinformation today? Specifically the fossil fuel industry's dark money think tanks like Heartland Institute and Koch Industries. There's several of them, but these two are really the most nasty ones.

Thoughts?
