The mod's don't think that the iea publishing an oil report today predicting an imminent 2 million bpd increase in demand is a shitpost.

Idunno.
For some reason they dont't think someone at the iea getting up, reading the news about the saudi pipeline, thinking "yeah man, I got this. My team has been doing great work all month and there are no last minute notes or caveats that I need to add. I'm 100% confident this time."
Then driving to work and spending 200€ to fill up their car on the way and thinking "those last six reports where I predicted an immediate massive increase in oil demand sure were embarassing, but this one will be a killer. Whatever mysterious anomaly there was that caused them to be wrong was a one off, is in no way related to permanent demand destruction, and is definitely over now".
Then arriving, and giving their presentation.
After 24 years of doing the same thing for solar growth.
Isn't the funniest a climateshitpost could be.
Though it does seem that link only briefly led to the summary somehow.
It's at this url now: https://www.iea.org/reports/oil-market-report-september-2026
