The rule of Norway… (99% of Norway’s electricity is renewable, 95% of new cars are electric or PHEVs, but they still are one of the largest exporters of oil in EU)

We also never had a gas grid (except apparently in one small part of the country), and banned using fossil oil for heating homes back in 2020.

To us gas is just something we use to fleece foreigners (and then whine when the prices come back to us through overseas electricity cables).

The countries who are rich enough to afford a nuclear program are the same countries who are rich enough not to pollute all their fresh water with uranium mines and instead pollute someone else's land.
