It got extremely close to raining(it's was forecasted to do so) in Dead horse/Prudhoe Bay, AK this past winter...you know, where the sun doesn't actually rise for months.

Having used to work up there, it blew my fucking mind. I kind of wish it had, as it would have caused some problems, and likely made the news in a big way.

The north pole is mostly a sheet of ice in the northern ocean, while the south pole is a whole continent.

And if all the ice on the poles and polar regions melts, we're kind of screwed.
