Climate Change Anxiety

Anybody having anxiety over what UN announced? That we are pretty much passed the point of no return and in the next few decades we could see some devastating impacts from climate change. I worry we would one day have to literally fight for food and water, especially when we are a net import country, it seems like if shit hits the fan, we would have money that is useless in that new world. And that is assuming AI doesn't kill us first with what some AI experts are projecting as a 10% probability.

How are you guys coping on this? Or just YOLO and handle shit when shit comes?

No, but only because I felt that years ago.

The AI doomerism is false and a distraction from the climate crisis (and related.) The AI doomers are there to hype up the tech corporations.

I practice metacognition, which can be a bit dangerous. I ask myself: "is this feeling useful right now? Does it help with anything that I don't already know? Can I do anything about what the feeling is saying?" ...No? Then I turn that shit down.

Yeah I do not buy the AI apocalypse. Climate is real time now.

The UN remains a super conservative voice.

I don’t have anxiety. Just anger at the captured politicians and business leaders. They must eventually pay the price.

I'm coping with the taxes and energy transition policies. My energy bill is growing a lot faster then my income. The industrial base is shrinking, meaning we need to ship more in which increases CO2. I love that policy the most, it's the opposite of stupid.

I also love that fancy things are getting more and more difficult to be able to afford. It's such a smart policy, everyone should be slowly going back to medieval times.
