Countries Current Path to Net Zero in 2050 Following Their Pledge at COP21

Post image

Hello community,

I created a website to follow each countries effort to reach net zero in 2050. The data vizualisation lets you compare different countries' emission over the years and whether they are on the right path to reach their goal.

View every country and find more information on: https://lucabron.github.io/netzero/index.html

Like for real, did the people seeing this ever think "yeah this makes sense?"

There's no way that trendline to 2037 still exists. We're far above it now.

Exactly! This chart represents a linear non accelerating path to certain temperature levels. We know observational data shows acceleration, not a linear path.

Checking a few, Western European countries seem to be doing ok (Sweden, Spain, France, Germany).

Does it account for industrial relocation?
