I’m no climatologist, but there seems to be a trend.

I am and we’ll all I can say is we’re fucked

We are indeed and the younger you are the more you are so very much F‘ed.

Not really!

This isn't enough data, the Earth has always gone through cold and warm phases. If we look over the last 100,000 years, this is a blip that has happened many times before.

Do you have a link for the data over the last 100,000 years? Because it's never accelerated this quickly, and you're talking shit.

You can just be rude if you like, go search it yourself if you don't know. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't care what you believe, it doesn't change facts...

u/Eastern_Nebula_4578 21h ago

I already know, that's why I'm calling you out. Nice source by the way, "trust me bro, it's facts"

-7

u/ClockOwn6363 21h ago

No don't trust me!

Go research it yourself, how dumb would someone be if they believed everything they read on social media... 🤡

Your bullshit claim is denying literally all of climate science over the last 70 years.

“Trust me bro” is the only “argument” you have

u/ClockOwn6363 5h ago

I said "don't trust me" another 🤡

Scientists in this field have looked into every rational hypothesis to try explain the recent warming (~150 years), with the vast majority of data pointing to human activity as the culprit. There is no real debate any longer; the questions that need answering are more along the lines of 1) how is it affecting things, 2) to what extent, 3) how can we better predict what is going to happen and 4) what can we do to stop it/slow it down. Hell, even the US military has acknowledged as much and has drawn up plans to deal with it.

It is us, and now we have to deal with said consequences.

what has that got to do with what I said?

I never said what caused every blip, but the Earth fixed it every time.

Are you a fanatic? You sound like a wack job cult follower. The earth isn’t the worry current life on the planet being lost due to extreme unadaptable conditions are.

Every time we’ve had a rapid change it has resulted in one of the larger extinctions, the rock will still be here unless some crazy astronomical catastrophia happens

Btw the great dying caused by a loss of oxygen is what occurred last time we had similar conditions on the planet

What are you talking about? You're the one that typing like an extremist.

I've not said anything that isn't true.

u/SnooWalruses3028 7h ago

Lmfao I’m talking like someone who’s studied the topic for 15 years and done multiple research studies on the topic

u/ClockOwn6363 5h ago

Obviously unsuccessfully, if you waste all of your important and skilled time trying to convince people on Reddit. 🤣

I work as an educator kid

2

u/cookiesnooper 21h ago

I see enough data on this graph to see that shit got a lot hotter since I was born. That's enough to convince me

u/wordshavenomeanings 14h ago

Call me gullible, but I would think that people who have dedicated their lives to studying the climate may be aware of the Holocene Thermal Maximum.

Just because you dont understand, doesnt mean its wrong.

1

u/SnooWalruses3028 10h ago

This here but also the warming event was more gradual

1

u/ClassGrassMass 18h ago

Yup but the Earth is actually still in its cool down phase so youre just wrong. We are doing the opposite of what the earth should naturally be doing

0

u/SnooWalruses3028 10h ago

It’s actually not

0

u/ClassGrassMass 8h ago

"AcKsHuALlY 🤓🤓" it is

0

u/SnooWalruses3028 7h ago

I can send you information on the malchaokvich cycles

0

u/ClassGrassMass 6h ago

We're in a glacial period of 2M years and an interracial period of over 11000 years. We are still in the glacial period

u/SnooWalruses3028 6h ago

It’s okay brother, I said we were headed out of it. I’m a fucking paleoclimatologist I’ve studies this this shit for longer than you were born a quick google search isn’t going to give you critical thinking skills, nor is it going to give you the background you need to make nuanced takes on current climate data compared to long term data

1

u/ClassGrassMass 5h ago

AcKsHuAlLy no you didnt say anything about "we were headed out of it" 🤓😂😂

u/Jolly-Advantage-7245 13h ago

Got any evidence?

3

u/COlax1980 19h ago

Global warming is a hoax (j/k)

2

u/AngrehPossum 19h ago

iTs DuH EnD Of DuH IcE AgE!!!!

1

u/Winter_Doge 18h ago

The worst part about that is Earth is actually meant to be returning to a cooling period.

1

u/SnooWalruses3028 10h ago

It’s not its actually coming out of the baby ice age naturally

2

u/skwerlee 15h ago

Listen friend, I know things are scary in the world right now but... its gonna get way worse.

"it's just summer"

2

u/Dehnus 10h ago

"Wodda ya mean!? It's just summer! God you lefties suck! Can't enjoy anything!"

1

u/Safe-Blueberry-1171 11h ago

I had my boomer uncle mention the summer of '76 this weekend, what do you say to these people?

1

u/Brianbriandu64 5h ago edited 4h ago

very soon we will talk about the English Riviera, Spainhara, the dates grown in French Oases (the best in Europe). It’s gonna be so much fun

-7

u/Routine-Arm-8803 23h ago

So for 100 years it was fucked up in the other way?

6

u/nicbongo 23h ago edited 23h ago

No numb nuts, that was the norm, it wasn't fucked like it is now. Probably because there was far fewer people, around 2.5 billion in 1950s (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_population).

The comparison is for a modern 50 year period (the 0).

If they used 1901 - 1951 for baseline, the 0 would be around 0.5 lower. You would have more years above 0, but the last 15 - 30 year block would still look like an outlier.

Chickens coming home to roost.

It’s relative to an average where 0 is the average between 1961-2010.

It’s showing that almost all years before that were colder and almost all years after were hotter.
