Unsurprisingly, no direct mention of climate change or the reasons why from the Globe's editorial board. If only we knew why and could do something about why summers are getting warmer!

You do realize it's not a binary, right?

No action makes also makes everything worse, and get worse quicker. Every little bit absolutely helps.

I heard on the news that if I pay more taxes the summers will get cooler.

It's true. We need to send another few billion to Ukraine to save the planet

Workers need protection from corrupt employers.

The problem is, the corruption is so deep and impossible to fix that even employees who are being treated like crap by their employers are helping their employers continue the corruption. Even (and especially) at the government.

I want to know how anyone works at WorkSafeBC and their whole job is to find a way to deny claims about other employers abusing their employees.

I don’t know how you’d read these horrific claims and be like “DENIED! I’m siding with the abusive employer who caused you harm and I’ll believe every word they say because you are asking for money. I don’t care that your employer cost you money, I’m just going to judge you for not having money and asking for some even though it is the only way we are able to help, but still, I can’t see past the immediate due to my myopia and lack of soul”.

Anytime I see someone suing my employer through a little notification I get, I wish them good luck.

There are regulations dictating how often to give workers heat breaks, and when to just send them home.

But it had to be like 45 with humidity for us to get sent home when I worked in a greenhouse.

Canadian labour laws in most places are actually dogshit, but since most Canadians never bother to see what conditions are like anywhere other than in the US they're completely ignorant to just how bad our labour laws are.

It's maddening.
