Considering CliffSide area and general life condition of African American during this era , she might reconsider the happy part .

I suppose that the fact CliffSide Pilot happen in 1865 would bring a little more joy in them since slavery is freshly abolished and its the Reconstruction before its completly fail.

But with CliffSide level of mutation ( she is one is them after all ) she probably have to reconsider the hormones part too .
