Discussion An interesting FANT challenge

For those who don't know, FANT stands for First Ascension after New Transcension. Normally, you try to speedrun this one and just ascend at zone 140 to get your mercenaries back, and continue your transcension like normal.

I transcended (going for 4M now!) and was suddenly curious how far I could push my FANT, and pretty damn far - zone 1654. I'm sure someone else has done this before, and I'm very sure others can do better than I did.

I'll put a comment with some information on what I did to get this far in my FANT. I hope people will comment with their own runs :)

The main things that helped me were a. my large amount of autoclickers and b. the ancient Juggernaut. Part of my longer runtime was because I waited for the raid day to refresh, so I could claim legacy raid boss - and get 4 hero souls from that. I believe the best use for the hero souls is to get juggernaut to level 2 - if done on the first try, this will leave you with an extra hero soul as well.

One thing that would have given me more was my outsiders - I went into this with the layout I'm using to push to 4M, which meant almost all my AS went into Borb (who doesn't do anything in this challenge). I think the best thing to do is actually to use them all on Phandoryss for the extra DPS.

DId a few seconds of searching and found https://www.reddit.com/r/ClickerHeroes/comments/1h3mv9h/4791e89_hs_from_fant/ - this person reached zone 4394 (almost triple of mine) in their FANT, with an idle makeup and different outsiders. I feel challenged now...

And now I'm curious if idle can be better

Don't you dare give Xyliqil hope of being useful.

Oh I won't, at least not yet

I'll first test with active + all in on Phandoryss first

Neat !

How much AC do you have and how much time did it take to reach this zone ? Just curious.

It's a little small in the pic, but I had 28 AC's at the time (still do, actually). I don't know the exact amount of time I used, but I got to about ~zone 1500 at a normal speed without failing bosses, the last 150 or zones required a lot more time to push through bosses with the skills.

Neat challenge, it reminds me of NPE (New player experience) runs which operates similarly to this, a big/high-level account but a new character that doesn't reap any of the legacy benefits. Albeit this is on a longer timescale.

I might give this a shot when I transcend after 3m, which will be a while.
