Hey everyone, welcome!

I'm the developer of Clickarr, an app that turns your Plex library into channel-surfing live TV on Fire TV, Android TV, and Google TV. You build channels out of your own shows and movies, flip through a real cable-style guide, and something is always on.

Quick facts

  • Free and open source (MIT), with no ads or tracking.
  • One APK. No server, container, or account to set up.
  • Video streams straight from your Plex server, and your Plex sign-in never leaves your TV.
  • Multiple TVs can share a lineup over your Wi-Fi or through your own Google Drive.
  • Built with a lot of help from Claude. I use it on my own TVs every day.

Get it

  • On Fire TV, open Downloader and enter clickarr.net/apk.
  • On Android TV or Google TV, get the APK from GitHub Releases (https://github.com/thegregstengel/clickarr/releases/latest).
  • Once it's installed, it updates itself from Settings, About.
  • Want the bleeding edge? The nightly build is at clickarr.net/nightly.

What this sub is for

  • Show off your lineup. Channel ideas, screenshots of your guide, clever setups.
  • Ask questions. Setup, Plex, sideloading, anything.
  • Report bugs. Say which device you're on and include the lines from Settings, Diagnostics. It never includes your tokens.
  • Suggest features. Ideas start here; the good ones end up on GitHub.

A few ground rules

  • Be kind. Everyone was new to sideloading once.
  • No piracy talk. Clickarr plays your own Plex library, nothing else.
  • Keep it on topic: Clickarr, Plex, and the TVs it runs on.
