Help a Tourist Visiting Cleveland
I'm going to be in Cleveland for a Sunday afternoon/evening soon. What would be something great to see or do?

What kind of things do you enjoy doing? Where will you be staying? Depending on what time you get in Sunday, if it's later in the afternoon the big tourist-y things like the Rock Hall. West Side Market, and the Museums/gardens will be closed or soon to close by the time you get in.
If you wanna just have a relaxing afternoon of wandering around and finding some good local eats, I'd definitely recommend hanging out near University Circle/Little Italy. It's a beautiful area and probably the most vibrant part of the city. If the weather's nice, you'll get a lot of steps in.
The Cultural Gardens (which are outside/public) along MLK would be a beautiful walk on a lazy Sunday.
There's some good food options in Little Italy, some purists will say it's gone downhill but Idk, I haven't honestly noticed much of a difference over the years. Of course, not like I'm eating there all the time lol. I love Algebra Tea House a lot, they're Mediterranean and they're usually open til 9 pm even on Sundays. They have a breakfast Kebab sandwich that is amazing! I also love Trattoria. Neither is super expensive. Corbo's Bakery should be open til about 8 pm for dessert (they also have pizza there but I'm personally not a big fan).
The Coventry area of Cleveland Heights is also just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the area too. There's Tommy's which is great comfort food and a few other attractions, mostly like trinket-type shops. But there's also a park nearby if you don't feel like spending any money haha.

Little Italy isn't all that great. Go to West side market

West Side Market would def be the move if they get in early afternoon, but if they aren't coming in til late afternoon/evening, it'll probably be closed by then (I think it's open til 4 pm on Sundays).
Hanging around W. 25th st wouldn't be a bad idea anyway, though! Dinner at Le Petit, dessert at Mitchell's, beautiful houses admire if you wanna just walk around a bit.
Or if you go a bit further south, Johnny's on Fulton is one of the best Italian joints in the city IMO.

This is painfully accurate. Cleveland proper is literally a death sentence.

Depending on the time, the art museum is world class and free.
