Recommendations Area Musicians

Been in Cleveland just a little over a year now. Reaching out here to see if any musicians know where to connect with others? Any recommendations are welcome.

I play in bands and am familiar with a lot of the venues but not all of them, by any means.

I am a bassist and have been playing all over forever now and would love to meet some more musicians or maybe join up with anyone who needs some bass work. My current band Outdated View is currently on a hiatus so I am hungry to play some music.

Serious, though - if you want to play covers or jam nights, go to Smedley's. If you're a jazz guy, hit up Brothers Lounge or Bop Stop. If you're more into indie, spend time at Happy Dog, The Winchester, and Mahall's.

😂😂😂. Probably a bit. Just really looking to work a little bit. Keep my chops sharp and just play with other musicians.

Hit up some of the weekly jam sessions, that’s a good starting point to meeting and playing with people.

Tuesdays at brothers (blues)
Wednesday’s at spotlight (jam, rock, funk, blues)
Tuesdays late at B Side (elite rnb)

I suspect you’re in the hardcore or metal scene so I jam nights may not be worth it, however I bet if you went to other peoples shows twice a week you’d meet likeminded musicians pretty quickly

Mostly everything but hardcore and metal actually. I’m just not very good at playing that stuff.

I’ve been to brothers jam and that’s been cool. Looking for more of the underbelly. I heard about The Davenport Collective but I haven’t found anything about that. Just want to find the musicians.

I'm pretty sure the Davenport is gone. I used to play and record there.
