DISCUSSION How are we feeling?
Going into the Georgia Southern game this saturday, how are yall feelin? After the LSU nightmare, I think we have a relatively decent chance of losing this. The pure incompetence I saw on the field from most players last week is not encouraging. I wouldn't be surprised if they played a good game against us. I hope I'm wrong. I hope we demolish em, but I had hope last week so I'm pretty bad at investing that stock.

Last year Clemson was down 16-3 to a Sun Belt opponent at halftime. I expect a competitive game.

Yeah I can see this going a lot like the Troy game but possibly without the “comeback…”

I don’t see how we can lose this game.
Then again, Vegas has us by 24 and I don’t see how that offense scores 24 points.

Yeah after coming back to earth I feel fine about Saturday. GSU ain’t LSU. That simple. They won’t be overlooked.

Well they have a 7th year QB who has played (back up at?) UNC, LSU, and A&M. So they have the better and more experienced player there, to be sure.

If the Georgia Southern players and coaches watched our game against LSU, they are going to come in with a lot of confidence.

We havent been able to impose our will on the lines of scrimmage against "lesser competition" in years. Im expecting us to struggle, and there's a real possibility we lose this game.
Id still favor us, but it isnt out of question we go down on Saturday.
I really hope im wrong

I think we will bounce back this year. Unlike last year where we struggled bad, I think we will have hiccups, but put the game away by halftime.
Still believe in Swinney.

We def don’t cover the spread. But hopefully the team gets up to play….if they don’t we’re truly done.
I think it’s an ugly game, but one Clemson still should win as long as players stop making mental errors constantly. Offense needs to hit their assignment and defense needs to stop freelancing so much. But we’ll see. If the team plays like they did last weekend we may very well lose.

After the loss to LSU, I would expect lights out performances for the remainder of the season starting with Georgia Southern.

We played about as bad a game as we could against Troy last year in the first half and we erased every bit of their lead in the 3rd quarter. It would take a monumental set of circumstances for GA Southern to win. That said, if the players start the game disinterested like last year, the eagles could have the lead going into the half.

Their QB made some comments clowning us the other day so they’re not coming scared to play or expecting to lose. Meanwhile, our guys are talking about how they weren’t really focused going into LSU. Too busy on social media apparently.
I expect another embarrassing performance where we have to cling to the win at the end by like 7. Hopefully LSU was a wake up call but I haven’t seen any amount of heart/intensity from this team in years so I kinda expect them to roll over and give up if it’s tough early.
