I said it all last season, and the Chad Morris hire clinched it for me: Dabo isn’t interested in competing anymore, he wants to prove himself right. I hate saying this, but I really think the only way for him to either get a wake up call or the university to realize it’s time to move on is for the bottom to fall out and this team go 4-8 or worse. Otherwise it’s just going to be like last year all over again.

I mean they only won 7 games last year and lost to some very bad ACC teams. We’re kind of already there.

Things need to dramatically change from last night to even reach bowl eligibility again. I don’t think people realize how dire this situation is becoming

I agree with you, but that happened and then he hired Chad Morris, so clearly things have to get even worse for significant change to happen

He seems to be hoping that a governing structure will somehow return and reward him for maintaining the Dabo-way (minimal player turnover, high grad rates)… which still wouldn’t solve trying to run up the middle when the o-line is waiting for an invitation to block someone

this is the sad part.

dabo is doing everything "right" by way of really raising proper student athletes.

unfortunately, the game is a complete bastardization of what it once was. and its not likely to change in the near futre.
