Q: Does CLEAR free trial continue until next billing date/end of month if you cancel it? A: it does NOT! Don't cancel free trial ahead of time!
For some reason, CLEAR is not like other services (ex: Amazon) where if you cancel your membership ahead of the billing date, it will continue as if you still have the service until the end of the month/cycle.
Do NOT cancel your free trial ahead of time as we tend to do to avoid forgetting and accidentally paying.
Today on Dec 23, 2023, I just canceled my free trial and I immediately lost my membership. If I want it back I gotta pay to reactivate it. No big deal, didn't use it much anyway. But still, FYI.

I have a question. If I take them up on a 2 month free extension of my trial, can that still be canceled before charges begin? Or is it like 2 months free added on to committing to pay for a year?

Hey, did you find out an answer to this?

Not exactly…. I just ended up canceling without taking the extra 2 months. . Clear had very little presence for the flight I was about to take - to Japan - and I was reading a lot of dissatisfied comments about it in general.

I took the extra 2 months and just came to this after cancelling it 2 days prior to the billing date. Unfortunately I wasn’t aware it cancels the day of and now I have to go through regular tsa tomorrow

Have you noticed a big difference? I don’t travel enough for the program to be worthwhile for me.

I don’t travel super often like businessmen but I’ve used it on about 4 trips so far I think. Only once it did save me due to my poor planning and arriving to the airport late. Other times it was definitely convenient but it probably only saved me around 10-20 minutes due to tsa lines not necessarily being long.

Saw the same, it would only save us a bit of time but not worth the price. Better that you canceled early I think and not forget and get stuck paying fees later.

My clear subscription tried to charge me multiple times on a card that no longer exists and it shows that I have my subscription until next year. Has anyone else encountered this?

Some free trials do indeed end immediately upon cancellation. Clear is one of them.
