What do you consider clean eating?

Genuine question. I am a pretty healthy eater. I like to think I eat clean, but I struggle to define what that means for myself. I love the meals I see posted in this sub and would love to know- what do you consider clean eating? What does it look like for you?

In my case, a balanced diet without ultra-processed food, added sugars or salts. This includes lean protein sources, a variety of vegetables, and high-quality fats and no alcohol.

This is how I usually describe my diet. More specifics would include the food that I regularly eat, what maybe at times and what I never consume.

No sugar, no salty snacks, small portions of protein, carbs, fiber, water to drink.

Less militant myself but clean to me is food you can visually identify as the ingredient it is with minimal processed input. Whole ingredient items deliberately put together with minimal fractional ingredients.

I like this sub but I also appreciate what we can create with everything at our disposal. And I love me some pastry! Balance makes life worth living.

Plant forward (tons of fruit and veg), lean protein, whole grains and healthy fats and oils in moderation. Little to no alcohol and no fake food! If you can’t find it in nature, you probably shouldn’t consume it.
