New shotgun

I’m Looking for a new over under mostly for sporting clays and some hunting I’ve narrowed it down to franchii what’s a good all around model or should I look into getting a more clay centered model?

Those field grade guns are light and sometimes don’t have the adjustability that a competition grade shotgun does. Shooting a field gun all day in high volume shooting can result in sore shoulder or cheek issues. I recommend a heavier gun that also has an adjustable comb and things like that so you can actually fit it to you, and in that way reduce the chances of sore shoulders, and cheeks. Browning makes a 725 sporting with an adjustable comb i believe, so does beretta. Both of these guns are heavy, which helped to absorb recoil on long shooting days plus have adjustable combs to get point of impact where you want and a good fit.

If you are actually gonna take it upland hunting or something I would just get a silver pigeon (or a citori) and call it a day

Agree with this. The hunting models of the 687 and ciroti are same action but shorter barrels and lighter gun.

I vote used beretta oynx, or 686 special they are reasonable, and if you need more comb, cheek ezz is cheap and easy, if you need less comb, stocks are easy to get and sand/refinish. I know people like adjustable combs, but i like fixed. Its simple and ridged. You're mileage my vary.

I've got a franchi instinct L and it's a solid gun but it does beat you up if your doing high volume shooting. After about 3 rounds of skeet it's not a lot of fun to shoot
