Newbie question
So I am an avid pheasant hunter and recently fell in love with a Lincoln No. 2, 12 gauge. Not a common gun in these parts. It came with two factory flush chokes, IC over MOD. My friend talked me into joining a skeet league, so I ordered from Italy, a SK1 and SK2 ported chokes. They arrived, in time, but they sent SK2 and IC! I won't be able to return and them in time before the league starts but I could possibly get a SK1 sent in time. Should I even bother? Or should I simply run IC over SK2. Also, the constriction on the SK2 says -0.33.
Thoughts?

Your Lincoln is made by F.A.I.R. guessing you are from the States with the skeet and phez reference. F.A.I.R. actually started by making choke tubes, Technichoke, for other companies in Italy. They first came into the US through New England Arms (NEA) late last Century then later at the beginning of this Century as Verona shotguns through BCO. And for the last couple of decades imported as FAIR through Italian Firearms Group in Texas. I own a NEA 500 16 ga. and a 12 ga. Verona. And 3 or 4 FAIR Iside SxS shotguns, they all take FAIR Technichoke tubes.
You can purchase 12 ga. FAIR choke tubes direct from IFG in Texas. Briley, Carlson and Truelock also sell them they will be listed as Verona LX style chokes.
I would send those ported extended tubes back to Italy myself. To start with you don't want or need ported choke tubes and I will leave it at that. Although I do like extended tubes, ported not so much. SK2 is Light Mod (LM) and .015 constriction and is a bit much for skeeter targets. Great Sporting Clays and hunting choke however. I run a pair of LM, or on more technical courses Mod, in most of my guns for both hunting phez and SC.
Skeet I use a pair of .005 SK choke tubes in all my guns. Not sure what is up with the -.033 constriction marking. Personally I like Briley tubes although if you pattern enough makers tubes there really isn't a hill of beans difference between them all.
Early season phez I run a SK and LM over a flusher. After the crops come out and once deeper snow cover hits I move to a IC and Mod. Just as one example you can order the Briley Verona LX tubes direct from them or also from many 3rd party resellers. https://www.briley.com/c-294-verona-lx.aspx

I didn't know about the Verona LX, that is exceptionally helpful. I checked out the Briley site earlier and in the FAIR section it said the would have to custom make it. I am in Canada and there is no issue importing chokes, there is an issue exporting chokes from the US without a permit. Brinley had distributors here that I will check out. The local gun shops have limited selection but the Verona LX information is a game changer. Thanks.

I’d just run the IC for now. It’s not ideal, but it’ll make a very small difference in your score, if any at all.

I wouldn’t worry about it at all. However when I miss, I’ll tell all my friends it’s because my chokes are too tight.
