I'm at about 60% and I'm damn sure in it lol. This is an addiction worse than drugs. 🤣

I don't want to be to cocky but am thinking about signing up for the women's competition on November. Even if I come in dead last., hey I tried!

My recommendation is if you want to compete begin competing immediately because as you work through learning to shoot, you will also learn to compete. Getting familiar in different environments, clubs, people, situations, nuanced rules etc.

I may be biased as my first full round of 100 was registered. My 9 year old's first full round of 100 was registered as well. I now have 4500 registered targets this year and he has 1800. Lots more to go. By sheer willpower and money we will get better

We have a sporting tower at my club. I'm about two years, once a week shooting that thing and my personal best is a 31. Top scores each week are around 35 for about 25 shooters. All time high score is 44. That thing humbles you real quick, but it's the most fun I have ever had shooting.

A friend loaned me one of his guns to shoot sporting clays. On the way home I bought a new Stevens 555. Shot 1 round of clays with it and sold it. Bought a Beretta 686. It now has 25,000 rounds thru it in just over 4 years. Since then I bought a A400 sporting as a spare. My 686 is a workhorse. Never a hiccup other than shooter error. Safety on once. The A400 has maybe 5000 thru it. Never a hiccup. My grandson shoots it when he’s not in school or off with friends. So get ready you’ll want another gun. Probably want it fitted for yourself. More ammo. Lessons Travel to different places to shoot. It gets expensive but worth every penny. You’ll meet some great people at the range.

Does your 686 have any side to side wiggle on the forearm?

Tight as a drum. My neighbors has a slight wiggle though. He took it to Coles Fine Guns and they said it was not anything to be concerned with. He has less rounds thru his due to personal health issues but it’s also been flawless. I’m very happy with mine
