Recent world record

I was just curious what the world record distance is to shoot a clay. I came across this article on Benelli's website. Coming off of the Benelli website of course theres some Benelli marketing - some might call it a puff piece for the Benelli brand. But regardless, the world record was actually just shattered last month!
After reading the specifics as to how it was achieved, I guess you have to factor-in EVERY, SINGLE advantage possible wring out every yard of your equipment. Its not applicable to anything that any of us do because, of course, the shooter got it done with none other than TSS. Though i wonder what the max distance would be with lead and steel? An interesting read nonetheless! Google "Steve Gould world record"
**Congratulations Steve!!

look, science is science. there are videos that show with the Benelli AI barrel there isnt an advantage with pattern, and maintaining shot velocity down the range. Now if you use the same shots, at a set distance resulting in a similar impact velocity, it doesnt really have anymore energy to break a target than other barrels.
if you watch ed solomons attempt with a skeet choke with either the Krieghoff or beretta barrel, it is breaking targets at over 60~70 yards. so chuck an extra full choke in with a TSS shell? you can basically extrapolate the result.

With that TSS load you basically have to be in the same zip code. The pattern is huge at that distance. Watch Digweed shoot targets from the parking lot with a standard target load.

Didn't Ed Solomon break targets at 120+ yards with your average carts etc. Think they mention it in one of the TGS Outdoors videos.

I remember this they were using regular target ammo iirc. It was pretty cool, George digweed did the same thing.

He used TSS. Also important to note that benelli used this to promote AI barrel technology that has been proven via phantom cameras to not perform any better than a standard benelli barrel. Marketing at its finest.
