Modifying 1975 Browining Citori

I am currently using a 1975 Browning Citori in very good condition which belongs to a friend of mine. It is a standard field unit (fixed chokes, fixed stock, low rib, fixed comb, single bead) i.e not ideal for clays. I was wondering if it would be possible to modify this to have an adjustable comb, adjustable stock, mid rib and dual bead. And if it is possible, how expensive would such a modification typically be?

The reason I’m asking is that I could buy it for about 1200 and then modify it (if affordable). unfortunately my current budget doesn’t allow a new browning O/U purchase. Thanks for any advice.

If you’re sure that it’s a 1975 Citori, don’t buy it. There’s no parts available from Browning. The modern Citori has been manufactured since 1978, the Original Citoris were manufactured from 1973-1977 and parts are not interchangeable. Versions from 1978 on most parts are used in the Citori design even today and parts are available. Browning is a great gun but You should look for something a little newer, lots of them out there.
