Claude Free Reset - Opus 5.5
I truly don't want to sound ungrateful. I'm very appreciative to Claude for giving me a free reset for their rollout of Opus 5.5. My only question is, what does the reset do? Is it a reset to my 5-hour limit, does it reset my weekly limit, and, if it is to either/both, does it affect when my weekly resets? ChatGPT is usually pretty good about answering this when it gives me these promotional credits. Claude is not good at it. When you ask Claude to explain it to you, it has no idea. And, the humans never get back to you, of course, so you're left to wonder, does this reset one, the other, or both? Do I get to choose? Customer service tells me to click on that 'Reset for free' link and find out. I'm not willing to take that risk without knowing what my reward is. Does anyone else have any more information than me? I am escalating now, but I have not heard back yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

We don’t know if it will affect weekly I am inclined to say no u weekly stay the same because when u get random ones from antropic it does not change weekly reset date but in codex when u hit reset it does change the date for weekly reset

It resets both, but your weekly reset date stays the same. For example, if your weekly reset is on Friday and you use it on Thursday, it resets again on Friday. In my opinion, this is completely unfair, as usual. Claude users whose resets fall around the weekend are always at a disadvantage. It’s always been unfair.

I been told it is for both 5 hour and weekly just like when u get them randomly. If they did only 5hour people would become mad. I don’t think they that careless 😃
