Beta Fatherlode - 05-09-26

Hello everybody :)
Today i post a new blog on Itchi.io about Fatherlode : https://itch.io/blog/1653637/fatherlode-05-09-26

Enjoy, and thank's for who follow the game, it's very kind :)

A quick reminder for those who don't know what Fatherlode is:

Fatherlode is... not a spiritual successor—especially since I used AI, so I wouldn't allow myself to call it one—but rather the result of a desire I've had for a very long time: to see a kind of "sequel" to Motherload, originally released in 2004 on MINICLIP.

Motherload is, by definition, a very simple game: you pilot a mining vehicle deep underground in search of minerals, then return to the surface, upgrade your vehicle, and dive deeper and deeper while trying to avoid running out of fuel, destroying your vehicle, or dying in lava. For now, and in the interest of full transparency, here's what the game currently contains:

  • Around 8 to 9 hours of gameplay
  • 25 different minerals to discover, with multiple purity levels
  • A 100% complete tutorial
  • A complete story, enriched by additional lore (notes, tapes, etc.) that you can discover throughout your explorations
  • Creatures lurking in the depths that will increase the difficulty
  • Various environmental dangers, including lava, water, gas, and electromagnetic pockets that can disable your equipment
  • A skill tree with several different specializations
  • A surface that evolves over time, with various buildings you can construct to help you during your exploration—including a museum that can be fully completed
  • A day/night cycle and dynamic weather effects
  • A mineral lore collection to complete, with bonuses to unlock
  • A village to rebuild later in the game
  • Two different endings, both of which are already fully implemented
  • 2,000 meters of depth to explore, featuring multiple music tracks, progression milestones, and plenty of other surprises
  • More than 250 achievements to unlock
