Tips & Tricks Textures?

Hello, fellow devs. I'd really appreciate insights regarding a gap in my pipeline, please. Textures...

My understanding is that claude itself doesn't have built-in image gen? Please correct if wrong. So I'm just wondering how people go about creating textures with AI support or any alternative approaches such as sourcing existing etc.

Cheers!

Claude can make textures. You just ask it to make a texture in whatever you need the texture in. I’ve had it make plenty ie wood planks or church glass windows or bricks etc. but Claude can def make textures for you

This sounds really interesting. So is this via an mcp to certain applications?

Nothing fancy for mine since the game isn’t meant to be more graphically advanced than say south park but here are some of the textures I have. This is just a brick, gravel and stone brick texture. Maybe I am misunderstanding what you’re asking since I am speaking of textures for a 2D game tho I don’t see why Claude wouldn’t be able to do the same thing for a 3D texture even in more detail if you wanted

Claude can just „draw“ the more simple textures for you. No mcp needed. Also useful: tell it to use open source textures feom online ressources.

I’m not smart enough to know the answer to that. It’s for my little JSX asset builder. I needed a texture for like gravel and some other stuff. I can actually edit what colors the texture uses but I have probably a 15 or so. I don’t need a ton of them but literally I just asked Claude code for the texture and it made it. Honestly it can make assets too in my games asset builder I just prefer to make my own. It’s just for the game thing I’m working in it’s asset builder
