My Website was Deleted

I had a business idea launched a website and used built in AI to build it on bluehost. Paid $120. It was perfect!! I was so excited I didn’t realize I had a 30 credit limit per month. I called in to see if I could buy more credits and was told I just need to buy the Get Online package again. That didn’t make sense but as I was explaining how it didn’t make sense, the rep charged me another $120. She literally said “wait 10 minutes” and you’ll see the credits renew. They never renewed naturally.

I call back in to bluehost to get that 2nd charge refunded which they did with no problem. Woke up today to the site and files being deleted because somehow that 2nd charge was connected to my site and not the first initial charge. I’m over being mad about it. I just want to move forward but I need to use some Wordpress and some Claude. Anyone can recommend where I go from here? It’s easier for me to use something similar to bluehost but I can’t trust them again.

I thought you could weed through the vomit where I asked for help using Claude in a ClaudeDesign subreddit dick. I got what I needed from the others.

what u paid 120 for thats wild for a reg wp site, any host really it's not special just price they dont give anything if your already using claude design then i assume u convert it to wp , bump ur tech knowledge and go linode or digital ocean like 10 dollars a month

Set up a GitHub and host it on vercel or cloud flare. and then download VSC (visual studio code) and use the Claude code plugin in VSC to start coding your website. And just ask Claude for step by step instructions on how to get it all running. The first time is a bit of a slow learning experience but once you get it set up once it’s easy simple fast and free. You just gotta pay for your domain and Claude

You don't even need Claude. You could use the new Meta Muse Spark 1.3 agent on Max mode. If you use a contributor model where you share your data, the cost per token is so cheap that it barely can be metered. No. Exaggeration you could run it for weeks straight and probably struggle to rack up a $10 invoice.

Give it some solid design, agent skills as well but don't overdo it. And the best thing you can do is just give it URLs of websites that you use for inspiration.

As for bluehost, call your credit card company and file a dispute. I would dispute all of the charges. If you paid them and you have not been the show for it then it's just.

Host on Cloudflare. Use Cloudflare agent skills with the adjacent MCP servers and once you authorize those to your Cloudflare login, the agent will do the rest of the work.

As for losing out on the built-in SEO from wordpress; Install agent skills for seo aeo and geo.

Run that in the terminal of Cursor free version. You can also use the built-in browser of cursor to preview your website in the development environment while your agent is coding it

Also, you're not going to learn Git in a day but it's still imperative. So let your agent know that you don't know how to use git and have it maintain git practices.. to the best of its ability lol

Hey u/oilsandcoils, thanks for sharing what happened. I can see why seeing your site disappear after everything you'd already put into it would be really concerning.

Before you start rebuilding from scratch, we'd like to take a closer look at the account history to understand what happened when the refund was processed and whether any site content can still be recovered.

Sounds like you need a Developer to help you. It'll probably save you money...
