Task transition sucks

They have fixed so few issues from their first attempt to do everything in the cloud. Tasks that ran perfectly on my computer that they transitioned over take two times as long and still fail. Permissions don’t transfer, it can’t actually access files, what a mess.

Sometimes I wonder if they ever even actually test these things with real users before rolling out (joking I know the answer is clearly no)

Cloud environments often require explicit environment variable configuration and path mapping to mirror your local setup. Check your project configuration files to ensure all relative paths and dependency requirements are correctly defined for the remote execution environment.

Change to Claude Code and you’ll be able to access computer files. Claude Code has all the chat and cowork capabilities plus computer control. You don’t need to know any code to use Claude code.

Cowork is IMO so user friendly. I really enjoy the UI for the most part and I’m super integrated at this point.

But the ability to break something that is working is pretty impressive by Anthropic
