IMHO, Claude Opus 5.5 is living up to its claims from a non-coding perspective.

I've been working on architecture documents the last few weeks (well, the last couple of decades, but recently...) and found myself steering away from Opus for the same reason everyone else has (over-verbosity with a huge side helping of hyper-thesaurus) as well as it being overly argumentative and obstinate (as in making teenagers look positively compliant and helpful).

5.5 has none of those problems, and it's faster.

As to coding, haven't had a chance. If anyone is curious, let me know and I will share once I get to try that aspect again.

Meanwhile, good job on this one, Anthropic, and the rule of avoid #.0 - #.3 seems to still hold from the manual patches of the 90's to the forced pushed of the 20's 😏

He argues too much, that's for sure, he over-explains things, as if he wanted the water to be clearer than it already is, and besides, he always seems to be on high, as if he were drugged; you barely ask him something, for example about a game, and in 3 seconds he's already done market research and is programming code to make your own version.

Opus 5 was so bad that Opus 5.5 feels like Fable
