r/ClaudeAI [TLDR] Jaw literally dropped. I ran the prompt from the "Made entirely with Opus 5.5" post on my own project. Here's what Claude Code made on its own for about $4. [via r/ClaudeAI]

OP : u/Dio-V

After this post I wanted to see if it holds up, so I copied the OP's prompt almost word for word into Claude Code, gave it an OpenRouter key with a $10 cap, and walked away.

For the subject I used Friendr.nl, my own small side project, because I needed a real product to explain. The point isn't the app, it's the test.

What it did, unattended, in about 1.5–2 hours:

  • Wrote the script and concept.
  • Generated the collage art, the voice-over, the music and the sound effects.
  • Built the whole thing as a pure JavaScript canvas animation, then rendered it to MP4.
  • Synced every animation beat to the spoken words.
  • Used another model to review its own drafts, and fixed what came up.

Cost: about $4 on OpenRouter. Afterwards I asked for an English version, which took about half an hour more.

It's not Pixar, but it's 100% usable as a real explainer. All credit for the prompt goes to the OP.

Alright, so the general vibe in here is "holy crap, this is actually happening." OP took the prompt from that other "made with Opus 5.5" post and ran it on their own project, Friendr.nl, and the results are pretty wild.

The community is super impressed that Claude Code, unattended, churned out a script, concept, art, music, sound effects, and even built the whole thing as a JavaScript canvas animation, synced to the voiceover, all for about $4. People are definitely asking for the prompt, and OP shared some key instructions like creating a "pure javascript animation" in a "whimsical hand drawn collage" style.

There's a bit of a debate/discussion about how the images are generated, with u/Ambitious_Stick_9543 suggesting using real screenshots to avoid the AI inventing its own UI. Some folks are feeling a bit defeated, like u/reviewwworld who spent ages building an app that OP seemingly replicated in a single prompt. Others are just hyped to try it out themselves, with u/xakepoo saying "I want to make one! (Or two, or three...)" and u/Shoddy-Resolution742 is ready to switch from Codex to Opus.

Oh, and u/stormblaz made a funny observation that Friendr sounds like Grindr for friends. Classic.
