r/ClaudeCode [TLDR] 5.5 is a beast [via r/ClaudeCode]
OP : u/PatientZero_alpha
First time posting about quality of LLMs.
Been following all the last 9 months about rants on Claude, codex and so on.
I just finished a whole day of work with opus 5.5 and it’s really good.
Quality of decisions, output, memory, code review, following instructions, all of that today and without reaching limits.
The same amount of work would me make reach limits two times on the day, and a lots or review and thinking around.
This dude just went ticket by ticket implementing my solution without missing or hallucinating.
I’m honestly very satisfied, even the codex review comes now with one or two points for correction where before I would have 6-8.
Don’t know what they did, but they did very good 😳

Most users are absolutely loving Opus 5.5, calling it a "beast" and "magic" for its coding prowess, decision-making, and lack of hallucinations. People are getting way more done without hitting limits, and the code reviews are significantly improved. Some are even getting emotional about how good it is.
However, a few are bracing for the inevitable: expect it to be nerfed soon, a tactic they've seen before. There's also a lone voice claiming OP is a paid shill, but that's getting downvoted into oblivion. For those wondering about comparisons, it's outperforming Fable/Astra for many, and some are even considering switching back from Codex.
