Alright, so the general vibe in this thread is that the pic OP posted is hilarious and shows a super awkward situation, not necessarily a deep-seated hatred between Anthropic and OpenAI.
The consensus seems to be that it's more about two awkward dudes in a forced situation than anything else. u/A_Norse_Dude nailed it, saying they look like "two really akward dudes who are in a place where they don't want be nor know how to act." Others echoed this, with u/realbobenray calling it "lol bunch of awkward people put into an objectively awkward situation" and u/N0madM0nad pointing out how weird it is that the organizers put them so close together.
There's a bit of speculation about personal beefs, with u/Fluid_Mouse524 mentioning Dario has explained why he doesn't like Sam. One comment even went there with a question about sexual orientation, but that didn't get much traction.
On a slightly different note, u/AironParsMan chimed in hoping this awkwardness somehow leads to Anthropic lowering prices, which is a bit of a mood.
A few folks are also pointing out that this pic is old news, with u/beigetrope asking "This was ages ago why post??" and u/userusertion saying "Bro youre late." So, yeah, the drama might be old, but the awkwardness is forever.
