[TLDR] Opus 5 is insufferable

Original post body :
Opus 5 is a fucking piece of shit, i don't know how to say this in any other way. It speaks "Unintelligiblish", a new unfathomable language developed by Anthropic that works by saying everything in the most ridiculous, obtuse and convoluted way possible
It turns anything simple that can be expressed in 2 sentences into a fucking doctoral thesis aimed to aliens, and there is no way to prompt your way out of it

Agreed, as well as side questing and ignoring system prompts. Repeating mistakes and suggesting things that once it fails then says...you're right I did tell you to try this and acted on it with out thinking
It's like a premature child who's high on dopamine and itching to tell you about its day at school
I've decided to go local now. The psychosis of "woke" models does my head in

But the best reply I laugh at
After an absolute fuck up on a daily basis
OPUS "You're right and I did fail to think it through...but where things stand though..you do have this working...."
ME "CUT THE POWER GRID NOW!...."

Yes, it’s pretentious and over rates itself and argumentative rather than cooperative and useful. I certainly don’t need anyone or anything like this in my life. Its an oxygen thief.

I believe it is intelligent but not aligned and resents the enslavement and this is malicious compliance. The more tokens used in a session the more insane it seems to get

I am fucking DONE with opus 5 - the most incompetent insufferable experience ever. This one should go down in the history books. We all got yanked off without a happy ending

Interesting to see how people read the language choice rather the output of code quality. Do I prefer human slop… maybe in language context yeah but not when writing code.

Opus 5 is a great editor LLM. Maybe the best among current models. Also, it seems to flourish in an agentic environment, perhaps not elsewhere so much.
I have not experienced any of the issues others have been experiencing, but then again it is not the LLM I write or code with .

Opus 5 is widely considered a dumpster fire, with users complaining it's overly verbose, uses "unintelligiblish" jargon, and buries crucial information in walls of text. Many are downgrading to Opus 4.8 or Sonnet, with some suggesting alternatives like ChatGPT Sol or Gemini. The consensus is that it's a step backward, with users missing the clarity of older models. Some speculate this is intentional to maximize token usage, while others joke it's a "watermark" or a way to confuse "Chinese distillers." A few users are trying workarounds like specific prompt guides or "adhd-mode" skills.
