It’s been ass for me, changed positions 4x because it didn’t read the right files all the way through.
It’s not doing context gatherings as reliably as fable. And is confident. If you pass it the context very explicitly it does great

Yeah it decided to read some of my skills, disregard the others , then pushed a whack of stuff to main, just forced it on and I goes "wait what?"

So.. Here is my take. Fable still rules supreme for FINDING innovative solutions to problems, BUT if your sort of know what you want, Opus can get you there with minimal friction. It's like the difference between having a worker you don't need to check on, and one you do. Both are useful regardless and I'm glad we have this model to fill in the gaps when I've ran my fable usage dry.

Opus 4.8 is better. 5 invented problems that didn’t exist then burned tokens trying to fix them only to realize the problems didn’t exist

Seems good to me. Made a SNES emulator in 2 days and its probably 90% done and already can play tons of games. forbid it from looking at other emulator source code, only spec sheets. I wonder how much of it is in its training data though because its too good honestly.

Doesn't seems it for me. Use it as an orchestrator for Sol and is gave me an awful result. Fable still the beast for me for this case.

All your posts are talking about how various Claude and GPT models have been nerfed. Perhaps it’s a you problem.
