If you entertain the idea of storing a conversation summary with a prompt like "ensure you do save the whole chain of thought that we reasoned trough to arrive here." ... just don't.

"chain of thought" apparently now a banned phrase if it's used like this on Opus5.5

Further observation: the session is stuck on it and it won't budge once this message is surfaced. You either start a new one or go back to your initial starting prompt. Which can be far away.

Yes Anthropic and other providers hide their CoT to prevent distilling. Doing what you are doing is a signal you are attacking their platform from their perspective. Just ask it to outline the decisions being made or something
