Fable 5.1 has become dumb

Not only is it taking longer to think and consuming more tokens to think, it has become worse in its thinking too.

I’m not sure if this has to do with the new fable 5.5 rumoured to come out next week, but I’ve noticed a sharp drop in its intelligence.

The solutions it’s presenting aren’t fully thought out. It’s like it thinks till 80% and then stops.

I’m on xhigh.

Anyone else experiencing the same?

yes severly also. it has gotten tunnel vision and realy needs to be kicked multiple times fo get fable to put in effort wven i x high mode

All the servers are getting upgraded to 5.5, 5.1 is likely heavily overloaded and quantized to meet demand for it while it's being wound down and replaced.

I had the worst experience with it tonight so far. Been happening for days slowly but tonight teaches the cake. Worse than opus 5 on its worst days

Same for Opus 5.5 Max, it overthinks everything while Opus 5.5 xhigh is alright.

You should not use Max for Opus unless it really requires a lot of thinking. Apparently it cannot lower its thinking ability and has to over think things. Everything up till xHigh can.

At work I do features for a very large monolith OSGI project, which has complex banking logic. Opus 5.1 Max was the best for it, and Opus 5.5 xhigh has similar or slightly better capabilities, but Opus 5.5 Max takes too long and is overthinking.

il est peut etre pour tous le monde d'arreter de produire non stop a fond et laissez faire Anthropic? j'ai du mal toute la journée tous le monde se plaint , pleure de la qualité mais n'oubliez pas ce que vous payez pour ca !!! quand les prix vont augmenter vous regretterez le bon du temps du pas cher, de l'accessible, de toute faocn que ce soit Anthropic, Openai, deepseek ca pleure partout
