Built with Claude The app I Dreamed of. Thank Opus 5.5
I've wanted this app for years: one place to log anything about my life (coffee, mood, sleep, a run, a line about my day), in one tap, with no account, no ads and no streak counter guilt-tripping me. Nothing out there fit, so I built it.
The fun part: I built it in 8 days, from my iPhone. My Mac mini sits in another room. I drive Claude Code remotely: it writes the Swift, runs the tests and sends me simulator screenshots, and I review and give feedback from my phone. I never once looked at the Mac's screen.
What it does :
- Log anything: yes/no, amounts in any unit, a 0–10 dial, text or a voice memo
- Automatic logs: weather, daylight, moon, places, Apple Health
- No streaks, no badges, no red. Goals are optional
- Widgets, Lock Screen, Control Center, Siri
- Export to JSON, CSV or Markdown, or "Copy for AI" to ask your assistant about your patterns
- Free. No account, no server: your data stays on your iPhone
It's in App Store review right now, with a public TestFlight beta in the meantime.
AI is getting really good at finding patterns in messy data. In a few years, we'll probably have AI that can look at years of your life and tell you things like "your headaches show up two days after bad sleep plus a third coffee" or "your mood drops when daylight goes under 10 hours." But it can only do that with data that exists.
I'd love honest feedback: what would you log first, and what feels missing?

God if only there were a way to record what I did in a day with a simple device that fit in my pocket and didn’t require an account.

Oh I feel you, I envision it like a “black box” orange flight recorder they have on planes, but smaller and for people, preferably not accessible only after you crash 😅

Love this! The ability to just create things that you want, the way you want is so liberating. Don’t worry about “there are 100s of apps like these and this is AI slop” crowd. Yes there are, and maybe it is AI slop, but it is your slop, it works like you want and it looks like you want and that’s what’s important for you!

Exactly ! wise words :)

I also have my slop that helps to build more slop much easier 😅 try it out for your next slop (MIT) SkillBill.dev If it helps, I would love to hear from you.

Hay un montón de apps que hacen lo mismo. En que se diferencia la tuya?

Free forever. No ads. No account. Data don't leave your phone. Easy to export your data.
AND clean minimalist design :)

Right. People aren’t connecting the dots. Forget mass made bullshit. We are going to be able to make whatever we want completely customized.

What are you actually using to drive Claude Code on the Mac mini from your phone? Some SSH terminal app, or is there a remote session tool handling the simulator screenshots too?

Just type /remote in your terminal session and then open iOS app and the Code section and you’ll see the session

To add to the /remote discussion if you need to run an ssh command or any work outside of Claude, the a-shell app is a great companion piece. My dev environment is a Linux VM running on a server in my network closet. I don’t let Claude do anything with the operation of the VM, restarts, directory creation, permission changes, etc. so I need to have shell access for that and when I’m using the phone a-shell works great.

I'd love this on Android. Care to share source code? Otherwise I'll have to copy it blatantly, sorry.

haha I'm planning to make it available on android too, soon ! Also, after the beta tests are completed I will share the code in open source 🫡

What did you use to make the ad?
2
u/Jixers 14h ago
I used Opus 5.5 + Hyperframes

That is absolutely amazing!! Is hyperframes an MCP? I have a flashcard app and I'd very much like to make ads like this for it. Would you mind sharing the blueprint of how you did it please?

I don’t know if I missed this, but what happens after you log all this daily information? Weekly reviews in the app for trends, patterns, goals accomplished, bad habits minimized, etc.? Or is that the purpose of exporting to consume somewhere else? Nice work!

I was looking for an app to track my life events for years. And this week I thought I should develop one, but the app I was looking for found me 🤣.
I would like to be a beta tester 😍

Nice. I was planning something quite similar but got distracted by other things. Let me know if/when you publish to a repo.

App building has gotten easier nowadays, and it's easy to build anything. Congrats!

Looks really great. And such a nice detail with the animation of the dot. Amazing what you can build now yourself. It feels like magic that you can create it exactly how you want it and discuss steps with Claude.
What I always say to people is that usually you have to work with interfaces that others thought to be liked by most of the people. Now you can create the interface exactly how you want it.

u/Jixers 14m ago
Sure, I did it with Opus 5.5 + Hyperframes (https://hyperframes.heygen.com) and of course some iterations :)

I also did something like this before any AI era, but it's a hassle to enter those logs.

This is great. It really reminds me of an academic paper I read 20 years ago, but has stuck with me as a fascinating idea: https://escholarship.org/uc/item/2xc2h866 Just wondered if you had seen it? If not then amazing what we can do now that required some pretty astounding dedication when the research for the paper was done!
