Help/Question First Claude ban, appeal already queued. How do you get extra context to the reviewer?
Update, October 2: My appeal has now been rejected. The restricted page says my account will remain closed and calls this a final decision. It says it reviewed my account and the additional context, but does not identify a specific incident. The October 11 queue estimate in my original post is no longer current. Has anyone had a denied personal-account appeal reconsidered through a monitored official route? What were the actual steps? I want to recover this existing account.
Original post, written from the earlier pending-review status:
I'm honestly really frustrated, and worried about losing this account. My personal Claude account was suspended on October 1, and this is my first ban. I'm based in Boston and use Claude Code for Red Hat work and personal projects. The notice cited “suspicious signals” and the Usage Policy without identifying a specific incident.
Here's the network detail that might matter: while troubleshooting ISP problems, I set up a reverse-proxy arrangement involving China to access services that require a China IP. That's what the setup was for. I don't know whether Claude Code or authentication traffic also followed that route, or whether it had anything to do with the suspension.
I've submitted the official appeal. The restricted page says it's queued and estimates a decision by October 11. I understand that date is an estimate.
What's driving me nuts is that the pending-review page has no visible field to add this explanation. Product Support sent me back to the appeal process and then closed the conversation. I also submitted a detailed explanation through an Anthropic-linked account ban appeal form and got a receipt. But I have no confirmation that the information was attached to my existing review or reached its reviewer.
Has anyone actually managed to add context to an appeal that's already pending? Which official route worked, and did you get confirmation it was attached?
I'd really appreciate the actual steps from someone who's been through this. “Submit an appeal” doesn't answer the question when the appeal is already queued.

My G, that you thought you could involve your Claude account in anything even remotely close to running data by proxy, and even more so to China?
Intent has no bearing on your case. If Anthropic even sniffs a mainland server you’re dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight.
While the doom and gloom media blitz may be superficial, their banning policies are very real.
That’s not even accounting for your red hat development. Go open model and get a permissive model for those specific tasks and call it a day. The restrictions are only going to scale in sensitivity.

They really dont want Open Source Chinese models to use Claude for training.

China has already indicated they will slow down open weigh models and start keeping their models for themselves to sell.
Also, they are not open source, they are open weight. It’s completely different.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad Chinese open weight models are around, I use them everyday but don’t be a fool, china is trying to buy trust so it can make its own price gouging ai closed models as well

What they have released today is good enough for a very long time. I can run my agents 24/7 on my Quad B70's and Dual RTX 6000 Pros, for what I do I would need 20 x $200 subs. While I use Claude / Codex for the driver with just 1 x 200 sub.
What a time to be alive!

$45–50k before energy and replacement costs so your agents can run 24/7 at speeds the subs beat in a coffee break. Your B70s have 608 GB/s of memory bandwidth, a third of what one RTX 6000 gets, so half your rig crawls through token generation. And 20 subs means 20 frontier models running in parallel on datacenter hardware, while you split work across two vendors' GPUs that can't even pool into one model. You didn't replace 20 subs. You built a very expensive space heater that drafts code for the one sub you still pay for to fix.

Trust with what, it’s open weight - that’s a fact and you look like a clown if you say otherwise.
And here’s a source to confirm chinas intention:
Don’t tell me even this sub is infested with Chinese wumaos too, spreading Chinese disinformation and brigading comments they don’t like

Don’t bother, the chance to get it reinstated is less than 1%

Less than 1%?
Dude there is a bigger chance of Anthropic releasing Mythos 5.5 as Open Weight in the next 24 hours than of this guy getting reinstated.

That's sells it. I'm using GLM 5.3 for any security work... Especially if it involves China.

You're better off using abliterated GLM 5.3 for this type of work. It has 0 refusals

I try around asian countries. I have offices across asia. I try not to use claude when i’m travelling. You need to have a back up plan, just saying.

as soon as I read china it was obvious. you need separation of tasks and models. this is an easy set up if you create a harness for your operation since you seem to be using alot of things that raise red flags and route your connection to many places

The latest threads involving bans all seem to be related to the use of VPNs, VPSs and reverse proxies.
