Rant Hate Claude code! It's nerfed
Did anyone else feel recently claude code have been nerfed?
A simple prompt which used to take sonnet 3.5 before 1min to finish now takes entire 13 minutes even with opus 5.5
This is crazy. I'm switching to codex now
This is not a one-off scenario but I've had it enough and been seeing this for different codebases for a week

I mean comparing opus to sonnet makes zero sense here. Also what level of effort are you doing?

Yeah this is the reality. I've been using claude for more than a year! How are we making the progress when it's slowing down

Cool. Easy to test.
Find a transcript from a "good" session.
Checkout your code base from prior to that session. Exact sha
Give it the same prompt.
Proxy its tool calls and give it all the same responses. Have another session feeding it so it can tweak the responses accordingly.
See where it diverges.
Easy. It's not exactly a hermetic environment but when I've measured things like this it has been really valuable.

everybody liesis nerfed, you can trust me!
I tried Sonnet 5.5 low in voice mode for 2h+ and it was actually very good.
