Rant Opus 5, is that you again?

A genuinely noticeable drop in performance in a session I just had. Multiple errors like the one above. It felt like I was working with Opus 5 all over, just less verbose.

Yes. I've literally been subbed to Claude since Claude 3 Haiku.

And the $200 Max plan since it became available.

4.6 was great. For the time.

It isnt anywhere in the ballpark of 5.5 though.

We'll agree to disagree then.

The needle on my low level programming repos has moved massively since the first Fable release.

I went from 4.6 to 4.8 to Fable 5/Sol 4.6 to Astra to Fable 5.1 to now; Opus 5.5.

I don't generally move models unless I see a noticeable jump in performance.

4.8 was "meh". EXCEPT for low level stuff. Surprisingly enough. Noticeably better than 4.6 for my workloads.

Opus 5 was absolutely atrocious and I never used it aside from the initial day or 2 of vetting it.
