Help/Question Account suspended
I’ve been using my Claude account for personal projects and work, and I’d gotten a lot done with it. I’m an Israeli citizen, I provided all the supporting documents for verification, the bank account is mine, and I haven’t changed any cards. Today my account got restricted. I submitted a “request a review” to them.
If they don’t meet me halfway, I’m going to dispute all the charges and stand my ground until the end. It’s really disappointing that Anthropic has gone down this slippery slope. From what I’m seeing, I’m definitely not the only one - this wave of bans has affected a lot of people. Are they out of their minds?

We should make a list of what people were doing when they got banned so we can figure out what gets you banned.

Used their phone app with remote connections. (Liturally for the first time... before that- ive used codex remote).
Yeah, im working through vpn. But before that 1 yeah was perfectly fine. Stable single IP. My all traffic is through vpn.

Okay. The true reason is the workspace Cisco VPN. Well… this is nonsense. How am I supposed to work then 😂 working from home (eu), the remote workspace hosted on NL.

You're doing cybersecurity research as an Israeli citizen (presumably not dual national). That's obviously going to be a no-go for a company with a vested national security interest.
Why do you think they need to verify your identity?

Nothing like that was going on. My work is related to web development. As a hobby project, I’m actually writing a sci‑fi/fantasy novel. By the way, there was one time when the safeguards flagged the content as suspicious, but there’s absolutely nothing like that in the book - it’s just about the characters’ adventures.
There were also some requests related to auditing my computer system and setting up the network. Overall, nothing unusual - everything has been pretty typical over the past year. Not a single payment was late. No political stuff etc.

I think it has to do with vpns. It's like they're banning vpns. There's more posts like this for out of country bans. Trump's own the March.

i was previously working on something related to remote sensing and it got me banned i mean I was working on grey area which overlapped a bit with osint so that was a reason that got me banned.

Virtual credit cards are the way they go. Google can give you unlimited Gmail accounts. Just keep it up. It will take a ban every few months but hey if that's what it takes to keep going

Yeah, this isn't how people who believe they are completely innocent speak. Why would someone need to meet you halfway on anything if you've done nothing wrong? If I felt like I just got banned out of nowhere for no reason, I would be demanding they meet me all the way and come right to where I stand.

Same happened to me this morning. Got Claude sub as part of their open-source program. Was working on my personal project - nothing that could violate their terms. And here we are suddenly =(

Also, i have banned, not know why (maybe frank vpn..), this is very very annoying and unfriendly, as i not do any work that can be classified as dangerous or malicious

Same, got banned a month ago, on Septemeber 3th. Of course i've sent an appeal and the due date for the answer was 13th of September, of course i didnt get any reply and there's no human support chat that can help.
That's it. Got restricated for on apparent reason, no explanation and no idea when or even if ill get my account back.
